The Global Markets Risk Technology team within Risk and Finance Technology consists of extremely talented engineers who develop industry‑leading risk framework models and platforms.
Role OverviewSoftware Engineer II or III – Python/Quartz developer. We are looking for a talented Python developer to work in the Market Risk Technology team within the Global Markets environment. This role is well‑suited to an enthusiastic developer with 7+ years of applicable experience. Good knowledge of Python is necessary. Experience in Quartz and Java is a plus. This exciting role is well‑suited to strong developers with an keen interest in investment banking.
The candidate will be contributing to some of the most significant risk projects in the organization. The successful candidate will work in a highly agile environment with a global team of colleagues in Ireland, the UK, India and the U.S.
- Hands‑on development experience in object‑oriented programming (Python, Java)
- Good understanding of design patterns and best practices
- Proven data‑based development experience with DB2/Sybase/Oracle
- Experience in high‑pressure working environment within a financial institute
- Strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Self‑motivated to initiate a project and take it to the finish line
- Experience working with Quartz
- Investment Banking domain experience – risk and/or product knowledge
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team
