HVAC Technician, Residential

Overview

Join BLT’s team of dedicated professionals as a residential HVAC Technician
. This position performs various hands-on maintenance duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of our luxury apartment community located in Jersey City, NJ.

• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems in apartments and common areas
• Diagnose and repair HVAC system issues promptly and efficiently
• Performs preventive maintenance and regular community inspections as requested by the Maintenance Manager
• Recommends the repair or replacement of any interior and exterior areas
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed
• Understands and complies with Fair Housing laws and standards

• Must have 1+ year of HVAC experience
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, trade and/or technical school training a plus
• EPA Universal Certification required; CPO, HVAC and CFC certifications are a plus
• Computer knowledge with the ability to generate work orders using a property management software system
• Must be able to lift and work with heavy equipment
• Evening and weekend work may be required
