ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop a sales plan and strategic targets.
- Identify, qualify and cultivate new sales opportunities through multiple mediums (email, phone, trade shows, inbound website leads, and more).
- Execute lead generation campaigns using a variety of sourcing tools and managing the process (using existing tools and team).
- Reach out to firms, speaking with 15-20 decision makers, and converting those conversations into a follow‑up opportunity and/or an appointment.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail managing all respective sales activities (notes, follow‑ups, emails, call logs).
- Drive contracts through closure, including negotiating key business terms and financial structures.
- Attend key industry conferences.
- Identify additional resources and support when required to ensure overall success.
- Build and grow local business development team.
- Maintain and upsell existing accounts.
- Assure complete customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university required, Master’s Degree preferred.
- 1-2 years experience in selling software products, software development services or professional services in software development area is a must.
- Proactive sales‑driven background.
- Ability to penetrate new accounts through various means.
- Strong account relationship skills, creative, driven, and self‑motivated, with ability to work independently and with a team.
- Skilled negotiator, including the ability to take direction or resolve issues independently.
- Excellent closing skills with the innate ability to overcome objections and obstacles throughout the sales process.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the instinctive ability to be adaptable to an ever‑changing environment.
- Strong presentation skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel occasionally.
- Team player.
