This position is responsible for maintaining accurate flow of inventory to retail, ecommerce and our wholesale division. This includes daily reporting, cycle counting, short shipment research, returns, quality control issues, and conducting physical inventories
Responsibilities- Maintain inventory in accordance with company policies
- Ensure accuracy and accurate booking of all key functions related to inventory transactions
- Collaborate with other departments to develop procedural recommendations and improve overall accuracy and efficient handling of inventory
- Identify and analyze gap trends leading to loss/shrink and coordinate with key business partners to develop SOPs and implement procedures to address risk
- Perform detailed research and document inventory discrepancies to identify root causes and advise on corrections
- Design and enforce inventory control practices between store locations and warehouse including continuous monitoring
- Prepare monthly KPI inventory reports
- Reporting of monthly inventory purchases vs budget
- Cycle Counts – assist with execution and reconciliation of cycle counts as well as recommendations for internal controls and monitoring
- Assist with HQ cycle counts – execution, formulation of process, and reconciliation of exceptions
- Inter-store/location transfers – scan all outgoing and incoming warehouse transfers. Oversee transfers between the retail stores to ensure they are processed accurately.
- Monitor shipping, POS reporting to ensure reported accurately in ERP
- In-Transit / Offsite inventory – reconciliation of inventory to ERP, including with development of improved inventory control procedures
- Reconciliation of inventory records against general ledger including cost of goods sold, on hand inventory, in-transit inventory, and inventory purchases.
- Assist with compliance and year-end audits for inventory reporting and key data points.
- 4-year college degree in Finance or Accounting required
- 2-4 years of related Inventory experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Expert level skills of Excel
- Strong technical, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative culture
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment with constantly changing demands
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks with strong time management skills
