Jersey - Barista

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role involves interacting with guests, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean, welcoming café or service area. A great barista is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and passionate about creating a positive guest experience.

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty beverages to order
• Operate coffee equipment including grinders, espresso machines, and brewers
• Greet guests and take orders accurately
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and café area
• Restock ingredients, cups, and supplies as needed
• Handle transactions and operate point-of-sale systems
• Educate guests on menu items, brewing methods, and customizations
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Assist with opening and closing duties as required

• Previous barista or customer service experience preferred
• Knowledge of coffee preparation and drink customization a plus
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting
• Attention to detail and pride in product presentation
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
• Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends, and holidays
• Food handler’s certification may be required based on location
