Required:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- NJ RN license required
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Enrollment in BSN program required within 6 months of hire
- Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and demonstrated writing skills
Certifications And Licenses Required
- Active NJ RN License
- BLS certification through American Heart Association
- ACLS certification required within 6 months from date of hire
- Complete 8 hours of continuing education in the area of cerebrovascular disease annually
- Night Shift: 7:00pm – 7:00am
- Full Time
- Every other weekend required. Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs
The role of the Professional Registered Nurse is to provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act. It is the responsibility of the Professional Nurse to implement the Hospital's Mission and goals through established policies, procedures and performance improvement activities. Implementation of these goals occurs through organization and administration of individualized age specific professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital.
The understanding of the principles of growth and development will be incorporated to assess each patient’s age specific needs and determine age specific treatment modalities.
