Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring expertise in circulating and scrubbing along with robotic and ENT experience.
Responsibilities- Work in the Operating Room of a Level 2 Trauma Center
- Patient mix includes all OR specialties except open heart
- Experience with orthopedic, vascular, general, thoracic, neuro, robotic, and ENT cases required
- Schedule consists of evening shifts, typically 4x10-hour shifts between 3:00 pm–11:30 pm
- Call required two times per schedule
- EMR system used is Epic, experience preferred
- Scrubs are provided
- Locals accepted at the same rate
- Duties include both scrubbing and circulating for a variety of surgical specialties
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Demonstrate proficiency in handling cases across all listed surgical specialties
- A supportive team environment in a trauma center setting
- Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of current acute care OR experience required
- Must be able to both circulate and scrub
- Experience with robotic and ENT procedures required
- Experience with orthopedic, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro cases required
- RWJBH staff must have at least a 1 year break in service before being eligible for a travel contract
