Required:

• ADN
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills

Preferred:

• BSN from a nationally accredited school
• 2-3 years of experience as an RN

• CNOR Certification preferred.
• Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement
• BLS from the American Heart Association

• Evening Shift, 35.3 hours per week, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Monday - Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Full Time
• On‑Call required

A Registered Professional Operating Room Nurse is an integral part of the perioperative team and serves as an advocate for patients undergoing anesthesia and/or sedation.

The Operating Room Nurse is responsible for managing nursing care within the O.R. through observing the surgical team from a broad perspective and assisting the team in creating and maintaining a safe, comfortable environment. These responsibilities include but are not limited to, coordinating complete nursing assessments and care for patients and participating in patient and family teaching for assigned patients within the Operating Room.

The Registered Professional Nurse in the Operating Room provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary and other patient care team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the perioperative setting.

Must be able to scrub and circulate in the following services: vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, neuro/spine, robotics, thoracic, trauma and general.
