Overview

We are searching for attorneys to join a non-profit legal aid association. There are several practice areas available, including housing, family and public benefits. Multiple locations available including Jersey City, Paterson, and Hackensack areas.

No experience is necessary, and all training will be provided in a supportive and friendly environment. Of course, attorneys with related experience would be highly valued.

You would be responsible for interviewing and advising clients, drafting legal documents, researching issues, making applications to the court, preparing for hearings, appearing in court on behalf of clients, and more.

The position is set up as a 4-month hourly position (35 hours per week) with a significant potential for an extension or for the job to go permanent after the initial period. Should you be brought on board as a permanent hire the salary is set by schedule based upon experience and includes comprehensive benefits and a hybrid schedule.
