AWS Devops Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an AWS Devops Engineer for a Contract with a client in Jersey City, NJ / Dallas, TX / Tampa, FL. You will build and automate IaC solutions using Terraform/Cloud Formation and develop CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable AWS cloud infrastructure using services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, and Cloud Watch.
• Build and manage automated Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) using Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Ansible to streamline provisioning and environment consistency.
• Develop, optimize, and support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, or AWS Code Pipeline for continuous integration and deployment.
• Manage and orchestrate containerized workloads using Docker, ECS, and EKS, ensuring smooth deployment, scaling, and runtime performance.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability frameworks using Cloud Watch, Prometheus, and Grafana while enforcing IAM security and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve release processes, troubleshoot production issues, and participate in on‑call rotations for incident response.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
• 8–10 years of experience in Dev Ops engineering with strong hands‑on AWS cloud expertise.
• Proven proficiency in managing AWS services and automating infrastructure using Terraform, Cloud Formation, or similar IaC tools.
• Strong experience building CI/CD pipelines and working with containerization/orchestration tools such as Docker, ECS, or EKS.

$45.00 to $49.00 per hour
