We are seeking a highly skilled IT Security Generalist with a strong background in network security and a broad understanding of cloud platforms, threat detection, and compliance frameworks. This role will play a critical part in securing our hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure, supporting security operations, and ensuring compliance with key industry standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure-native security tools and a passion for developing scalable, secure systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage network security protocols including Azure Firewall, Azure WAF, IDS/IPS, and Zero Trust Architecture
• Utilize Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or Wazuh for SIEM, log ingestion, monitoring, and cross-cloud threat analysis
• Harden cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) using tools like Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Security Center, and Entra
• Define and enforce Azure Policies and Initiatives for compliance and automated remediation of non-compliant resources
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies across cloud and on-prem environments
• Ensure compliance with standards including NIST SP 800-53 R5, CIS 2.0, and PCI DSS through detailed audits and security assessments
• Lead or contribute to incident response efforts, analyzing and remediating security events and alerts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and maintain secure network architectures and access controls for enterprise users
• Maintain documentation of security controls, procedures, and response playbooks

Required Qualifications:

• 3–7+ years of experience in IT security, cybersecurity, or network security roles
• Hands-on experience with Azure Security, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, or equivalent SIEM solutions
• Deep understanding of network security, firewalls, access control, and IDS/IPS systems
• Working knowledge of Zero Trust models, cloud security architectures, and security operations
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST, CIS, PCI DSS, and experience with policy enforcement
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications such as Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, GIAC, or Security+
• Experience working in multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Familiarity with scripting or automation (Power Shell, Python, Terraform, etc.)
