Technical Support Specialist Job Summary
Open Vault LLC is expanding its Operations and Customer Support department. We seek a candidate with strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills who is passionate about providing exceptional technical support. This role involves supporting existing products and collaborating on new development initiatives.
While the office is based in the New Jersey area, this position can be remote and reports directly to the Director of Operations and Support.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:- Monitor daily operational processes and take necessary corrective action.
- Perform technical troubleshooting to diagnose, isolate, and correct system-related issues.
- Further develop and enhance existing operational monitoring processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Participate in new development and testing activities.
- Manage support tickets using Zoho.
- Proficient with MySQL DB and Query Language.
- Linux/Unix working knowledge, including Bash command line and scripting.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated aptitude for critical problem solving and analytical thinking.
- Self-disciplined with the ability to learn and manage work with minimal supervision or direction.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment; able to handle shifting priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
- Highly organized with close attention to detail.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience providing exceptional technical support.
- 12+ months experience in the Cable Industry.
- Experience using ticketing systems (Zoho a plus).
- Knowledge of Open Vault products and tools.
- Understanding of cloud services such as AWS
. - Demonstrated knowledge of web technologies, such as HTML, PHP
, and Java Script . - Industry Knowledge of DOCSIS, IPDR
, and CMTS technology.
