We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance, specifically within Excess & Surplus (E&S) lines. The Business Analyst will work closely with business stakeholders, underwriting, product, and IT teams to support system enhancements, process improvements, and regulatory initiatives for E&S insurance products.

• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams within the P&C E&S domain.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to Excess & Surplus insurance products, underwriting workflows, policy administration, claims, and billing systems.
• Develop detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, and process flows.
• Support implementation and enhancement of P&C systems such as Policy Administration, Rating, Billing, and Claims platforms.
• Analyze current-state processes and recommend future-state improvements aligned with E&S business needs.
• Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, compliance, and operations teams to ensure accurate requirement capture.
• Assist QA teams with test scenarios, UAT planning, and defect resolution.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and surplus lines requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Provide ongoing production support and post-implementation analysis.

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst in P&C Insurance.
• Hands-on experience with Excess & Surplus (E&S) lines of business.
• Deep understanding of underwriting workflows, policy lifecycle, endorsements, renewals, and surplus lines compliance.
• Experience working with P&C core systems (Policy, Billing, Claims).
• Proficiency in requirement gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
