Job Description

What is the Opportunity? This position is part of the team responsible for the operations and infrastructure support of the enterprise systems management tools used within RBC. Reporting to the manager of the systems management group, the incumbent will drive Business Service solutions and deliver to the IT support teams. As a senior professional, a high level of industry knowledge, drive, and professionalism is required to ensure the service provided matches the business's needs.

In this role you will be responsible for strategically planning and managing the successful implementation of the above solutions, coordinating, developing, leading, communicating and executing activities to ensure objectives are accomplished on schedule.

What will you do?
  • Manage the implementation of multiple concurrent initiatives of varying complexity in a time‑efficient manner. Monitor and control activities according to plan.
  • Continuously identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks. Analyze, mitigate, and escalate where appropriate.
  • Develop and execute end‑to‑end change management plans and all related communications.
  • Collaborate and contribute on cross‑functional enterprise initiatives and manage the effective implementation of assigned deliverables.
  • Establish strong working relationships across business units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners. Collaborate with groups to define and achieve deliverables and ensure initiatives are effectively integrated into RBC procedures and processes.
  • Contribute to ongoing administrative program activities as required.
What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Scripting and automation – proficient in Python, Bash, Power Shell and similar scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Linux, Windows and monitoring solutions.
  • Undergraduate degree coupled with change‑management experience in complex programs with high frequency of requests and multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of stakeholders and the project.
  • Strong organizational, project‑management and time‑management capabilities.
  • A strong understanding of technology and/or financial services industry.
  • Deadline‑driven and results‑oriented; able to meet consistently high‑quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

Nice‑to‑have:

  • Familiar with Tanium, Service Now, Stone Branch and other system management tools.
  • Experience with REST API for tool integration.

The expected salary range for this particular position is $85,000‑$145,000 depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.

You have the potential to earn more through RBC's discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
