Job Description
:

Matlen Silver has partnered with a leading global financial services firm to recruit a Generative AI (GenAI) Lead that will be responsible for providing leadership, technical direction, and oversight to a team of data engineers as they deliver AI‑driven technology solutions.

• Develop solutions and processes for delivering features based on knowledge of design/architectural patterns and Agile/Dev Ops practices.
• Ensure system design and requirements align with desired business outcomes, and that team practices and coding/quality principles achieve the desired technology outcomes.
• Review technical designs to ensure consistency with defined architecture principles, standards, and best practices. Own technical decisions for solution and application developers in creating architectural decisions and artifacts. Communicate clearly with the team & stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product teams, data analysts, and data scientists to design and build solutions.
• Manage next‑generation architectural decisions for an advanced analytics platform, create strategy and roadmaps, and present to tech and non‑tech leaders.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in platform development, architecture, and strategy for data science, modeling, and advanced analytics.
• Experience building end‑to‑end analytics platforms focusing on self‑service for data science, big data platform, analytics, etc.; experience building end‑to‑end ML pipelines: data prep, model build, training, deployment, scoring, monitoring and optimization.
• Experience working with technical and line‑of‑business users to gather requirements, writing BRDs, brainstorming with varied audiences, documenting details with conceptual diagrams, and validating technical feasibility through research and collaboration with tech teams, architects, and engineers.
• Strong understanding of modern open‑source data science platform architecture for storage & compute separation, interactive development workbenches, virtual environments, containers, and toolsets such as Jupyter, Spyder, VSCode and how they work with open‑source languages & libraries such as Python, R, H2O, Scikit‑Learn, Pandas, Num Py, etc.
• Hands‑on experience implementing CI/CD and automation using the Atlassian ecosystem.
• Knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, and principles of data governance.
• Experience designing and building full‑stack solutions utilizing distributed computing architecture.
• Experience working with Java, Scala, or Python based tools and technologies.
