Sr. Azure Cloud Architect
Location: Jersey City, NJ (5 days onsite)
Contract Duration: 12 months
Seeking an Azure Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and automation of Azure infrastructure for a financial services client. This hands‑on role involves architecting scalable infrastructure, driving CI/CD pipeline efficiency, and contributing to Dev Ops transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate has deep expertise with Azure services, Terraform, scripting, and enterprise deployment practices.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and support CI/CD pipelines across Azure environments.
- Use Terraform to provision, configure, and maintain Azure infrastructure.
- Execute deployment runbooks and adjust infrastructure as needed.
- Work with internal tools (e.g., Jet and Jewels) to manage deployments.
- Administer core Azure services: compute, networking, storage, and identity.
- Support Azure messaging systems such as Event Grid, Event Hubs, and Service Bus.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support deployment readiness.
- 8–10+ years of experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and automation.
- Extensive experience with Terraform for building and managing complex infrastructure at scale.
- Proven track record in designing and managing enterprise‑grade CI/CD pipelines.
- Expert knowledge of Azure services including compute, networking, IAM, and storage.
- Strong scripting experience in Python or other languages for automation.
- Ability to lead infrastructure initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and drive architectural decisions.
- Experience with internal Dev Ops platforms such as Jet or Jewels.
- Experience leading infrastructure modernization or Dev Ops transformation projects.
- Hands‑on experience with Git Ops workflows, infrastructure testing, and policy‑as‑code.
- Expertise in implementing security, governance, and compliance in Azure environments.
- Certifications such as AZ‑400, AZ‑305, or Microsoft Certified:
Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
