Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

Our client is seeking a Controller to lead the financial accounting operations with a strong focus on profit & loss (P&L) management and balance sheet integrity. This role will be responsible for overseeing all general accounting functions, managing monthly/quarterly closes, ensuring GAAP compliance, and driving accurate financial reporting and analysis to support executive decision-making.

• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of P&L statements and balance sheets.
• Oversee general ledger activity and ensure proper account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Manage the preparation and analysis of internal financial statements and performance metrics.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the company’s financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Maintain the integrity of the balance sheet, including regular review of accruals, reserves, and account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with FP&A to analyze variances, trends, and opportunities impacting financial performance.
• Support the audit process and act as a key liaison with external auditors.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
• Partner cross-functionally with departments such as operations, tax, and treasury to support broader business initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.

The compensation range is from $175,000 to $195,000 plus bonus with excellent benefits.
