Records Management Professional (6-Month Contract)
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Pay Rate: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
Contract Duration: 6 months (potential for extension)
Role Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Records Management Professional to join our team on a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the financial services industry, particularly with a focus on regulatory compliance under SEC, CFTC, and other financial regulatory bodies. This role will involve managing and enhancing the Swap Trade Reconstruction process, ensuring adherence to regulations, and driving improvements in records management practices.
Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts to ensure compliance with SEC, CFTC, NFA, and other financial regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and optimize the Swap Trade Reconstruction process for efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure adherence to regulations such as SEC, Dodd-Frank, NYDFS, and other relevant financial services rules.
- Work closely with Compliance, Legal, and Business Units to manage records management policies and procedures.
- Develop and present records management strategies and best practices to senior management.
- Stay informed on regulatory updates and integrate changes into the company’s processes.
- Drive continuous improvement in records management processes to meet regulatory and organizational standards.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in financial services or management consulting, with a focus on records management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for various audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of capital markets, financial products, and banking operations.
- Familiarity with organizational structures such as CIB vs. non-CIB entities and regional setups.
- A robust external network of professionals and subject matter experts in records management.
- Ability to influence and drive initiatives independently, without direct reporting lines.
