Fund Accountant

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented operations professional to support fund account opening and related processing activities. The specialist will handle moderately complex tasks and serve as a subject-matter resource within the operational workflow.

• Fund Account Onboarding: Review and execute fund account documentation; communicate with fund companies; process, record, and reconcile account activity; prepare required reports.
• Transaction Processing: Process securities transactions, verify accuracy, manage daily volume, and perform intraday and end‑of‑day reconciliations to ensure deadlines and requirements are met.
• Client & Internal Support: Deliver timely, high‑quality responses to internal and external inquiries; follow up on outstanding requests.
• Risk & Issue Management: Identify, document, and help resolve errors; collaborate with internal teams to address issues; support the development of procedures, controls, and project work related to fund accounts.
• Operational Maintenance: Maintain accurate fund account data in internal systems; monitor and review daily reports related to mutual fund account openings; investigate onboarding‑related questions.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (1‑2 years in operations, custody, or a related environment preferred).
• Strong knowledge of operational processes and financial products.
• Excellent research, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Highly organized, able to multitask, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and team‑focused.
