Position Overview
Asset Based Lending ("ABL") is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing Accounting Department. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to leverage their technical expertise while contributing to system optimization and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong technical proficiency in Net Suite, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
WhatYou ll Do
Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
- Support month-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Perform detailed balance sheet and income statement analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Conduct quality control reviews and validation of budgeting and pro-forma modules
Technical Accounting & Problem-Solving
- Assist with complex accounting matters, including research, documentation, and resolution of technical issues
- Support audit readiness efforts and respond to audit-related requests as needed
- Maintain thorough documentation of accounting policies and procedures
System Optimization & Process Improvement
- Contribute to the ongoing development and optimization of Net Suite and our expense management platform, Ramp
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and consistency within finance workflows
- Recommend and implement practical improvements to reporting and analysis processes
- Support integration efforts with third-party systems, including CRM, T&E platform, and HR platform
Reporting & Analysis
- Develop custom reports, including ad hoc analyses and reconciliations
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to financial data quality and reporting
- Assist with the implementation of contract management modules
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive experience in financial accounting
- Demonstrated proficiency with month-end close processes and financial reporting
- Strong working knowledge of Net Suite (configuration and reporting experience highly valued)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
- Experience with expense and vendor management platforms (Ramp or similar)
- US citizenship or permanent residency (green card) required
Preferred Experience
- Experience in the lending, mortgage, or financial services industry
- Prior involvement in system implementations or process improvement projects
