Business Analyst – Payments
Job Location: New Jersey (Hybrid)

Job Description:

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to payments processing systems.
• Work on ISO 20022 message analysis, mapping, and validation for high-value and cross-border payments.
• Support Fedwire and ACH payment flows, including clearing, settlement, reconciliation, and exception handling.
• Collaborate with technology teams on system enhancements, integrations, and regulatory changes.
• Create business requirement documents (BRD), functional requirement documents (FRD), user stories, and process flows.
• Participate in UAT planning, test case review, and defect resolution
• Liaise with stakeholders including operations, compliance, risk, and IT teams
• Ensure solutions comply with banking regulations, controls, and audit requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst in the payments domain.
• Strong experience with ISO 20022 (high-value and cross-border payments).
• Proven experience working with Fedwire and ACH payment systems.
• Solid understanding of payment lifecycle, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Experience working in banking or financial services environments.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models.

• Exposure to SWIFT MT/MX messaging.
• Experience with large-scale pavment modernization or ISO 20022
  migration programs.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks in banking.
• Experience working with core banking or payment platforms.
• Prior experience in government or regulated financial institutions.
