Our client is a retail start-up in growth mode and is looking to hire a Controller to sit in their Jersey City Office!
Salary/Hourly Rate$175k - $190k
Position OverviewThe Controller will join an existing team of 6 staff and have oversight of the daily accounting operations as well as the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Payroll Teams.
Responsibilities Of The Controller- The Controller will be responsible for the month-/year-end close
- Oversight of the accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Responsible for the monthly financial reporting
- Reconciliations and some product forecasting
- Work closely with the Department Heads of the organization
- The Controller should have 7+ years of experience
- Prior managerial exposure
- Experience with consumer packaged goods is preferred
- High proficiency in Excel
- CPA is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
