Credit Review Team Member

• Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Support the Credit Risk Review team by identifying loans with actual and potential credit weaknesses.
• Validate and, if necessary, adjust credit risk ratings.
• Assess the adequacy of internal credit policies and loan administration procedures and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• MBA or CPA (or equivalent) or CFA a plus
• 5 to 10 years of financial services experience in credit extension, underwriting, review, or analysis
• Strong credit analysis skills with understanding of the credit process and control; knowledge of leveraged lending and related regulatory guidance is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Power Point
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to discuss findings and make recommendations with tact and professional assertion
• Experience communicating with senior management

• Experience in credit review, risk department, and/or origination; significant experience in one area also considered
• Participation in reviews of credit and counter party risk across the CIB platform
• Document reviews and recommendations in written reports to senior management
• Exposure to portfolios such as Corporate Banking, Project Finance, Media & Telecom, Leveraged Finance, Asset Securitization, Hedge Funds, Insurance, Banks, and Broker/Dealers
• Understanding of governance, management, and controls of credit risk
• Ability to perform in-depth reviews of individual credits and validate risk ratings and loss given default rates
• Ability to prepare clear, concise written credit analyses covering obligor business and structure, facilities, capital structure, repayment sources, and legal documentation
• Understanding of rating methodologies and ability to re-perform ratings
• Ability to evaluate complex financing structures and associated risks
• Advanced ability to produce written reports and present findings
