Position OverviewBack Office Operations Specialist to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for supporting the firm’s clearing and settlement functions, ensuring accurate trade processing, reconciliations, and corporate action management. The ideal candidate will have prior experience within a clearing firm or bank, strong knowledge of securities operations, and an active FINRA license (Series 99 minimum).
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily back-office operations for clearing and settlement, including trade capture, trade allocations, and trade reconciliations.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure accurate posting of transactions.
- Work with core clearing systems (DTC and banking systems) to process and monitor settlements.
- Handle multiple asset classes, including equities, options, and fixed income securities.
- Manage and process corporate actions, ensuring all entitlements are accurately applied.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve trade breaks and operational issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Leverage Inteliclear system experience (if applicable) to streamline workflows and reporting.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in back-office operations at a clearing firm or bank.
- Proficiency with core clearing systems (DTC, banking platforms).
- Hands-on experience with equities, options, and fixed income instruments.
- Corporate actions knowledge required.
- Inteliclear system experience strongly preferred.
- Active FINRA license – Series 99 or 7 required (additional licenses a plus).
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
