Financial Manager
This is an exciting and a challenging position. The position requires an individual who can be an effective leader in a position without strong formal authority with 5+ years experience in finance/accounting.
The person will be outgoing, and comfortable in a truly multinational environment, working with different styles and all levels of staff. Strong interpersonal skills, including people management and process management will be called upon.
The individual will demonstrate a curiosity for solving problems, and initiative in finding ways to get things done better and should be Client service-oriented. He/she will require strong listening, feedback, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. In addition, he/she should be the type of person who can empathize with people’s needs, concerns and goals, and have a genuine interest in building finance capabilities.
The individual should be comfortable communicating with the senior leadership team either at the local, regional and global level. The individual will be expected to be hands on, detailed and results oriented.
The individual will need to team effectively with a number of stakeholders – including the local office, system and various regional finance teams
Job DescriptionResponsibilities include:
- Budget/Office Planning and Analysis:
Produce annual operating budgets and forecasts in accordance with regional and global guidelines, business trends and management recommendations - Client Service and Support:
Manage local-office Time & Billing function in line with firm’s policies, ensure all documentation requirements are met, and support client team, regional and external auditors requests - Internal and Ad-hoc Reporting:
Prepare financial reports and analysis to support business objectives and presents these to the Officer group as requested - Finance Liaison:
Act as finance liaison to functional managers and lends financial support to assist/guide fiscal spending - US Expense Hub:
Supervise the US Expense Hub and oversee all aspects of the day to day operations including management and development of employees - Northeast coordination:
Team with NE counterparts to ensure alignment throughout the annual budget process
Requirements include:
- BA/BS with emphasis in Finance/Accounting and/or MBA strongly preferred
- 5+ years experience in Finance/Accounting with experience in planning and analysis, financial reporting, in a professional services preferred
- Hands-on experience with budgets and financial planning and analysis processes
- Supervisory experience with a proven track record for improving their teams from a professional development perspective
- Advanced technical skills with proficiency in desktop applications and financial systems
