Empowerment Academy Charter School is hiring an Occupational Therapist for its Elementary School (covering a maternity leave). The position is full-time Monday-Friday 7:45-4:15, starting in March. Base salary $69,000-$90,000 per year, with competitive raises, bonus and stipend opportunities.

• NJDOE OT certificate and NJ license.
• Willingness to travel between schools.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of IEPs and 504 accommodations.

• Conduct evaluations and screenings.
• Plan and implement IEP goals and objectives.
• Recommend assistive devices and adaptive positioning.
• Provide strategies for student participation.
• Collaborate with students, parents, paraprofessionals and staff.
• Implement OT strategies to reduce barriers in school environment.

Charter schools are public schools. Teachers participate in the New Jersey Teachers' Pension and Annuity Fund (TPAF), and can transfer pension credits between traditional public schools and our school.
