Our program is designed to empower adults through skills development and academic success.
Position Overview:
We are seeking motivated and passionate Part-Time ABE/GED/ESL Teachers to join our team at The Adult Education center at FHS.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to education and the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
Our schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8:45am-2:45pm offering two class sessions per day.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement curriculum for GED, ESL, and/or ABE programs.
* Provide instruction in reading, writing, math, science, social studies and critical thinking skills.
* Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
* Collaborate with other staff members to support student success.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
Qualifications:
* New Jersey Teaching Certificate (K-8, P-3, K-6, or Subjects K-12 accepted)
* Experience teaching adult learners is preferred, but not mandatory.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Passion for education and a commitment to student success.
SALARY/STIPEND: $45.00 per hour
