The Registrar supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of Saint Dominic Academy. The registrar supports and adheres to policies and procedures set forth in the Employee Handbook.

The Registrar is a full-time salaried position with a 12 month work schedule. The standard hours are 7:30am to 3:30pm. The Registrar will provide support to the Admission Office.

Job Summary

The detail-oriented registrar oversees registration related activities and serves as the chief custodian overseeing the maintenance and integrity of student academic records and the SIS. This includes assisting students, faculty, staff, parents, and alumnae with a variety of academic services. The registrar leads use of the SIS, generates the annual course matrix and scheduling process,maintains and accesses student records including transfers, attendance, and graduation requirements.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Lead, maintain, and manage SIS
  • Coordinate and process report cards and transcripts
  • Create and update school rosters
  • Create and maintain accurate paper and digital student forms/directories
  • Generate the annual course matrix and scheduling process
  • Manage and monitor daily and cumulative attendance
  • Issue and monitor school IDs
  • Handle and process transportation reimbursement forms
  • Order supplies for academics and copy machines
  • Generate all tech related accounts for new students/staff
  • Create subfolders when substitute teachers are in the building
  • Organize faculty substitute coverage
  • Assist Admissions with acceptance mailings, importing files from admissions into school database, in school events
  • Compile data, surveys, reports on enrollment and educational activities for administration, government, archdiocese, and other external agencies
  • Knowledge and adaptability with multiple softwares including Power School, Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications:

  • Advanced electronic, written, and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Associate’s degree or high school plus two years of relevant experience
  • Pass state New Jersey Department of Education background check
  • Complete Protecting God’s Children course
