RWJBarnabas Health Jersey City Medical Center is seeking a Director of Labor and Delivery. The Labor and Delivery Unit at Jersey City Medical Center averages 2,200 deliveries per year and includes obstetricians, maternal fetal medicine specialists, midwives, and a dedicated obstetrical nursing staff. This role offers a work/life balance with a Monday–Friday schedule and no required nighttime or weekend shifts. The position requires administrative oversight of the labor and delivery unit with the goal of achieving a best-in-class standard of care to ensure quality outcomes for the community.

Rutgers academic appointment at New Jersey Medical School is subject to level of academic experience.

This position is located in Jersey City, NJ, about four miles outside of New York City, offering proximity to suburban communities. Jersey City is a diverse city with skyline views of NYC and a variety of cultural amenities.

• Provide administrative oversight of the Labor and Delivery unit to ensure high-quality, outcome-focused obstetric care.

• Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (BC in OBGYN)
• New Jersey licensed or eligible for licensure
• Experience in managing a high-volume obstetrical service with complex patients
