The Construction Project Manager | Industrial Construction is responsible for managing construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role oversees schedules, budgets, subcontractor performance, and client communication while coordinating closely with field leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The Project Manager works independently while collaborating with internal teams, subcontractors, and ownership representatives.
Responsibilities of the Construction Project Manager | Industrial Construction- Manage construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
- Review drawings, specifications, and subcontractor submissions to support scope definition, buyout, and execution
- Lead project planning, site logistics coordination, and sequencing in collaboration with Superintendents
- Procure, negotiate, and manage subcontractor scopes, contracts, and change orders
- Monitor project costs, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain profitability
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and turnover activities with inspectors, consultants, and municipalities
- Maintain clear, professional communication with owners, owner's representatives, and internal stakeholders
- Support field teams by resolving constructability issues, RFIs, and schedule impacts
- Maintain accurate project documentation including meeting minutes, daily reports, and weekly status updates
- Enforce company safety policies in coordination with site supervision and safety personnel
- Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and local municipalities
- Assist with subcontractor solicitation, bid leveling, and buyout as required
- 3+ years of Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager experience in construction
- Experience with light-industrial, warehouse, or cold storage projects preferred
- Strong understanding of project budgeting, scheduling, buyout, cost control, and contract administration
- Ability to collaborate with clients, Superintendents, and internal management teams to establish and execute project plans
- Working knowledge of construction safety standards; OSHA 30 certification required or obtainable
