Main responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with business partners with client centricity as a guiding principle
  • Leading assigned sourcing initiatives, which vary in terms of scope and scale for Professional Services related subcategories including:
    • Consulting (Management, Strategy, Project Management)
    • Contractors (MSPs and VMS)
    • HR
    • Legal Services
    • Insurance
    • Translation Services
  • Conducting market tenders (RFPs, RFIs) including drafting and launching tool-based RF(x) s and managing the evaluation process via a cross-functional team to help clients determine supplier selection
  • Understanding complex business requirements in the areas listed above and shaping deals to meet those requirements with a capability to align outsourcing strategies to client organizational goals.
  • Calculating financial baselines, pricing models and future case analysis from client data for use in developing negotiation strategies.
  • Assess, analyze and drive savings opportunities
  • Negotiating deals to achieve optimal commercial terms
  • Be accountable for leading negotiations that yield the right business outcome, ensuring compliant contracting, performance management and issue resolution
  • Drafting contracts (review, redline/edit, review comments, identify business issues, legal issues) based on standard terms and conditions (including master agreements, task orders, change orders, amendments, etc.)
  • Documenting sourcing event workflow and related project admin within client and Chain IQ tools to capture final record closure
  • Maintaining market awareness for assigned categories and contributing to sourcing area plans including sound understanding and experience of outsourcing trends including digital transformation, Fintech collaboration, nearshoring, outsourcing, in sourcing, risk management.
  • Building relationships with key suppliers and multiple client groups
  • Adhering to the Chain IQ corporate standards, including using the defined sourcing tools and processes in delivering of sourcing initiatives, maintaining, and contributing to sourcing quality.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience with active contract and commercial sourcing negotiations across various professional services categories, with a strong focus and background in Consulting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain concentration and/or MBA would be a plus).
  • Client/stakeholder focus within the corporate environment with the gravitas to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in relationship management, deal structuring (sole-sourced, RFP, eAuction), vendor management, and procurement.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel and database analytic tools and sourcing systems.
  • Proven capability running multi-million-dollar sourcing projects.
  • Experience with contracts and ability in contract drafting (including, but not limited to, Statements of Work, Supply Orders, Change Orders), with limited legal support.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, often to tight deadlines, and deliver results.
