Staff Accountant BN Real Estate Firm

Coda Search is partnering with a dynamic real estate firm with offices located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a $5BN firm that has been rapidly growing and is looking to add additional headcount to the group. The Staff Accountant will have diverse responsibilities across AP/AR and assist with the month-end close.

This will be a part of a dynamic group that has an extensive portfolio of properties and is aggressively looking to expand the team in 2026.

• Process and manage accounts payable for multiple properties and entities, including invoice coding, approvals, and payment processing
• Oversee accounts receivable, including tenant billings, rent collections, cash applications, and aging analysis
• Perform bank and GL account reconciliations on a monthly basis
• Assist with month-end close, including journal entries and supporting schedules
• Work closely with property managers, asset management, and vendors to resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate accounting records in Yardi and ensure data integrity
• Assist with audit requests and ad-hoc accounting projects as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally within real estate or property accounting
• Hands-on experience with AP and AR processes
• Yardi experience strongly preferred
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
