POSITION SUMMARY:

The Ice Cream Warehouse Operator is responsible for the accurate receiving, storage, movement, and staging of both frozen ice cream products and dry ingredients within warehouse and cold storage environments. This role is critical to maintaining inventory integrity, supporting uninterrupted production and shipping, and ensuring strict adherence to food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards across all areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Material Handling & Storage

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials and packaging supplies for accuracy, condition, and compliance with quality standards.
Stage finished goods for outbound shipment and raw materials to support timely, uninterrupted production.
Maintain proper storage conditions, layout, and organization of inventory to ensure safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

Inventory & Documentation

Accurately record all material movements within ERP or inventory management systems.
Review and verify shipping and receiving documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Perform routine cycle counts, maintain inventory accuracy, and promptly investigate and resolve discrepancies.

Safety & Compliance

Comply with HACCP, SQF, FDA, and all applicable food safety and material handling requirements.
Adhere to plant safety protocols, PPE requirements, and safe work practices at all times.
Maintain clean, orderly, and audit-ready warehouse and storage areas.

Equipment & Maintenance

Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in accordance with training and certification requirements.
Conduct pre-operation equipment inspections and immediately report safety concerns or mechanical issues.

Additional Responsibilities

Perform other duties as assigned to support operational or business needs.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:

High School diploma/GED or equivalent work related experience.

Experience:

Prior experience in warehouse operations preferred.
Food manufacturing warehouse experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to operate forklifts and obtain certification.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic computer skills for inventory tracking.

Physical Requirements:

Environmental exposure to warehouses stored at ambient (60-70°

F), refrigerated (35°

F), and frozen (minus 20°

F) temperatures.
Walking:
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for short distances on a regular basis.
Subject to up to at least 92db's
Lifting: up to 20 lbs. occasionally
