Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of acute inpatient or rehab experience for a 13-week inpatient assignment using Epic EMR.
Responsibilities- Work in an acute inpatient rehab therapy setting with possible float to a nearby facility if census is low
- Typical caseload is 8 to 10 patients per day with one therapist per day
- Primary patient population includes ortho-total joints, neuro-strokes, occasional brain injuries, medical, and General ICU
- Care areas include Acute Inpatient and Swing Bed
- Day shift, five 8-hour shifts per week (Monday to Friday, ), no self-scheduling
- May be required to cover holidays
- Orientation consists of 2-3 days in the department, with onboarding scheduled as 5 days of 8-hour shifts
- Uses Epic EMR
- No blocked scheduling or special schedule requests will be accepted
- An OT manager is present on shift; there are no COTAs or rehab aides staffed
- Scrubs are permitted but must not match the color of other departments; color options provided upon hire
- Permanent employees must be gone for at least one year before applying for a travel assignment
- Active Occupational Therapy license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of OT experience in acute inpatient or rehab setting
- Current BLS certification required
- Must provide 2 professional references: one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Driver’s license required
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
- First-time travelers are welcome
