Overview
The Nursing College Clinical Site Liaison is responsible for managing the practicum experiences (both direct supervision and preceptorships) for our Practical Nurse and Registered Nurse programs. The Nursing College Clinical Site Liaison will actively promote the mission, policies, and procedures of the institution while preserving the professional relationship with each clinical facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Management of Clinical Relationship
- Oversight and Planning for Clinical Experiences
- Securement of New Clinical Sites
- Maintenance of Existing Clinical Sites and Contracts
- Audit and Verification of Student Medical Documents Job Responsibilities
- Manage and develop clinical relationships with Chief Nursing Officers, Directors of Nursing and other administrators
- Develop and implement orientation program for clinical faculty members and students to facilities and our practicum policies and procedures
- Mentor new clinical instructors through the first rotation
- Collect, review, and audit preceptor and clinical documents
- Conduct debriefs with preceptors before and during clinical experiences
- Oversee and conduct observational clinical site visits
- Collaborate with program chairs in the planning, implementing and evaluating our clinical experiences
- Schedule relief coverage in absence of clinical instructor in coordination with program chairs
- Keep one’s own Registered Nurse license current
- Associates or higher degree in nursing; BSN preferred
- Proven experience with supervisory roles within an educational or business setting or other relevant experiences
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize workflow
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Detailed orientated
- An outgoing, approachable style and a passion for helping others
- Exceptional organizational, listening, and teamwork skills
- BSN or higher degree in nursing
