Jefferson Health is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Interventional Pulmonologist to join our growing Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Interventional Pulmonology program. This is an exciting opportunity to practice advanced, cutting-edge pulmonary procedures within a collaborative, academic-leaning health system that values innovation, teamwork, and physician well-being.
About the Role
The Interventional Pulmonologist will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient pulmonary care with a strong focus on advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopic procedures. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with thoracic surgery, oncology, radiology, and critical care teams in a multidisciplinary environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform advanced interventional pulmonary procedures, including:
- EBUS (linear and radial)
- Robotic bronchoscopy
- Navigational bronchoscopy
- Endobronchial tumor ablation and airway stenting
- Pleural procedures (medical thoracoscopy, tunneled pleural catheters)
- Provide inpatient and outpatient pulmonary consultative services
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and case conferences
- Collaborate closely with thoracic surgery, oncology, and critical care teams
- Participate in teaching activities with residents, fellows, and medical students (as applicable)
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and program development
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease
- Fellowship training in Interventional Pulmonology (required)
- Eligible for medical licensure in Pennsylvania (and New Jersey, if applicable)
- Strong clinical, procedural, and communication skills
- Interest in academic medicine, program growth, and multidisciplinary collaboration
