Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for the care of a group of patients, focusing on safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes. The RN applies the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care. The role includes supervising licensed and non-licensed staff, promoting evidence-based practice, participating in Practice Governance, and supporting professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assessment:
Perform assessments and reassessments per policy; make sound independent clinical decisions.
• Development & Implementation:
Initiate, prioritize, implement, and revise plans of care; collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams; utilize resources appropriately.
• Evaluation:
Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions.

Education:
Provide and evaluate patient and family education during hospitalization and at discharge.
• Leadership:
Delegate tasks, mentor/precept staff, promote teamwork, participate in quality and safety initiatives, comply with regulatory standards, and engage in Practice Governance activities. Comments /
Schedule:
• Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (Nights)
• Every other weekend required
• 48-hour work weeks not allowed Requirements:
• BLS
• NIH
• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Epic experience
• Indiana RN license
