Position: Manufacturing Engineer I

* Performs routine assignments using existing procedures to solve standard problems

* Typically requires a college or university degree or equivalent work experience

* Has conceptual knowledge of fundamental theories, principles and practices

* Has no related work experience or has work experience but requires formal training in theories/concepts in own function

* Works under close supervision and receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level roles

* Has no discretion to vary from established procedures by performing structured work assignments

* Entry level to a professional career progression

* Requires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices and procedures within a job discipline

* Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience

* Accountable for own contributions

* Uses existing procedures to solve standard problems

* Analyzes information and standard practices to make judgements

* Has limited impact on own work team; works within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines

* Exchanges straightforward information, asks questions and checks for understanding

Qualificationsarrow_right

* A Bachelor's Degree in Polymer, Science, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering - or strong experience in a Process or Assembly Technician role within a medical device environment.

* 3 years experience (or strong exposure) to cleanroom manufacturing, validation, process control, and continuous improvement.

* A solid understanding of Lean and process improvement principles - or the enthusiasm to develop these skills on the job.

* Experience with software programs and systems mindset along with strong detail orientation and documentation skills.

* This position will work closely with senior team members, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to a wide range of processes.

* A Lean Systems Green Belt (LSGB) or Six Sigma Green Belt (SSGB) certification is a plus - but not essential; we value drive, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
