Responsibilities- Facility Management:
Assist in the operation and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC systems, MAU, RAU, scrubbers, chillers, boilers, chemical and waste management, electrical systems, cleanroom environment (temperature & humidity control and pressure control), UPW, PCW, vacuum & CDA system and specialty gases and chemicals. - Ensure the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and efficient condition.
- Follow maintenance schedules and procedures for all facility systems.
- Ensure the facility system is consistently operating at an optimum level.
- Work with colleagues on facility improvement projects, including renovations, upgrades, and repairs.
- Preventive and Corrective Maintenance:
Assist with implementing preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of facility systems; troubleshoot and resolve issues related to building systems and equipment; perform regular inspections and audits to identify maintenance needs and potential improvements. - Support with emergency repairs when necessary.
- Ensure that all facility operations comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Assist in the development and enforcement of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Assist in monitoring and manage energy consumption to promote sustainability and reduce costs.
- Implement energy-saving initiatives and best practices.
- Track utility usage and costs, providing reports on energy efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure proper waste management and compliance to EPA requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, facility inspections, and equipment performance.
- Ensure documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in preparing reports related to facility operations and maintenance status.
- Work closely with facility staff, management, and other departments to address facility needs and support operational goals.
- Provide training and support to staff on facility-related procedures and safety practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate’s degree in Facility Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in facility management, building systems maintenance, or a similar role. Solar panel industry is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, MAU, RAU, scrubbers, chillers, boilers, chemical and waste management, electrical systems, cleanroom environment, UPW, PCW, vacuum & CDA system, and familiarity with specialty gases and chemicals.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and local laws and regulations as well as industry standards.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in facility management software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certification in facility management (e.g., Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP)).
- Experience with energy management and sustainability practices.
