Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Safety Manager to oversee construction activities while ensuring strict adherence to workplace safety standards. This role is responsible for managing project operations, supervising crews, and implementing safety programs that comply with OSHA regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong construction experience, leadership skills, and formal OSHA safety training.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and coordinate daily construction operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within scope.
- Enforce and monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and hazard assessments.
- Lead daily safety meetings and toolbox talks with crew members.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; document findings and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices by all personnel and subcontractors.
- Maintain safety records, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors to maintain safe and efficient operations.
- Provide guidance and training to workers on safety procedures and jobsite hazards.
- Monitor work progress and address operational or safety issues as they arise.
- Previous experience in construction management, site supervision, or safety management.
- OSHA training/certification required (OSHA 10, OSHA 30, or equivalent preferred).
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, jobsite hazards, and safety regulations.
- Ability to lead teams and enforce safety standards in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work evening/night shifts (4:30 PM – 3:30 AM).
- Reliable transportation and ability to be on‑site for extended shifts.
