The Empower College & Career Center (Empower
C3) is an educational partnership with businesses in Jackson County and the surrounding area. The Empower Center engages students in career relevant learning experiences. Through partnerships with business and industry, higher education and our community, students work toward goals that help them reach their college and career objectives. Some of these goals include completing pathways and earning credentials. Students will leave high school with authentic experiences that will help them define and refine their choices after high school – in college, a career, or in the military.
ECCC is seeking a qualified Business Education Teacher to teach courses in the CTAE Business pathway.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, or related field
- Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Eligible to hold GaPSC teaching certification
- Valid GaPSC teaching certification Business Education
- Teaching experience in a high school setting
- Experience in the field of Business management
- Experience incorporating technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance language learning
- Work is performed in a standard in-person classroom setting within a high school environment
- Regularly involves movement, speaking, and interacting with students, parents, and colleagues
- May require occasional lifting of materials or equipment
- Requires the ability to use classroom technology, including projectors, computers, and learning management systems
- Regular work hours are during the school day, with occasional evening or weekend commitments for parent-teacher conferences, school events, or professional development
- Must be adaptable to varying student needs and class sizes
- May include additional duties such as sponsoring extracurricular activities or supervising student clubs

- Annual Salary based on degree level and previous years of experience in a similar role
