We’re looking for an Assistant Store Manager for Check Into Cash in Jefferson City, TN. As an ASM you’ll support customers with financial needs while gaining hands‑on experience running a store and developing leadership skills through account management, customer outreach and risk management.

- Maximize customer success by offering financial services fitting their needs.
- Assess risk, evaluate, and accurately process loan/pawn applications, check cashing transactions and ancillary products.
- Complete call campaigns to market services and build new business.
- Oversee account management and recovery, including collection calls while maintaining customer service focus.
- Maintain accurate customer information in the POS system.
- Provide coaching and development to Customer Service Representatives to ensure quality standards and safety procedures.
- Perform duties outside office as needed (vehicle appraisals, store errands, external marketing).
- Participate in partnership opportunities, referrals and in‑store community events to meet performance standards.
- Manage door security, vault and cash drawer opening/closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and laws; conduct audits, create reports, compile financial data.
- Maintain store appearance and cleanliness, schedule maintenance.
- Work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment handling multiple tasks.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by leadership.
- Maintain full‑time schedule, including weekends; minimum 40 hours per week.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year experience in customer service, sales or retail.
- At least 3 months supervisory, key holder or related leadership experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with phones, POS systems, Microsoft Office and other computer systems.
- Minimum age 18 (19 in Alabama).
- Background check required.
- Physical ability to stand up to 90% of time, move up to 25 lb, operate mechanical controls.
- Management experience in retail, convenience store, grocery, finance or related industries.
- Experience in check cashing, document verification, money order processing.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus and may be required at some locations.
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance and personal vehicle; mileage compensated.
