E. Elm St, Jefferson City, 65101.
This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting the Department of Mental Health (DMH).
Responsibilities- Be a member of the application development team and perform development and maintenance of DMH enterprise applications using C#, SQL Server, and MVC. Duties include analysis, design, coding, code reviews, testing, implementation, and mentoring. Personal interactions with Business Owners and other team members are required, as is research and troubleshooting of complex problems. The successful candidate for this position needs to have a technical background.
Candidate must be effective working collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently as circumstances dictate. - Analyze requirements and develop code to meet business needs.
- Test and review code to ensure a quality product is put forward.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues and requests.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation.
- Continuous learning (technical and professional development).
- Good communication skills.
- Development experience using ASP.NET MVC framework.
- Development experience using C#, SQL, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Solid understanding of Responsive Web Design and Agile methodology.
- Familiarity with Web Accessibility methods is preferred.
- Able to work independently and on a team.
- Development experience with .NET Core is a plus.
- Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate’s name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.

Knowledge of the core programming language used in the assigned area, knowledge of computer logic statements and their applications, ability to learn and apply concepts, ability to perform basic mathematics, and ability to provide logical and innovative ideas and think critically to resolve issues. Ability to communicate with staff, management, and agency personnel.
This position is multi-allocated and may be filled at either the Associate Applications Developer or Applications Developer classification.
