Details

Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm. Mandatory call rotation

Department: Operating Room Capital Region Medical Center

Compensation
:

  • Base Pay Range: $32.82 to $48.27 per hour, based on experience.
  • Choose Between Sign-On Bonus
    -OR
    - Retention Rewards
  • Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
  • Retention Rewards: Up to $15,000
  • Relocation Support: Additional $5,000 if moving from over 50 miles away.
  • Retention Reward (Option
    1):
    $2,000 per year for up to 5 years, totaling $10,000.
  • Student Loan Repayment (Option
    2):
    $2,000 per year toward student loans, up to 5 years, totaling $10,000.

Job Description
  • Assesses the patient s condition and nursing needs, sets goals, and prescribes nursing actions to meet those goals and the patient s physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs, including discharge planning.
  • Assesses, intervenes, and reassesses the patient s self-report/symptoms of pain promptly.
  • Uses an appropriate tool for assessment and reassessment (0-10 numerical scale, FACES, or the FLACC).
  • Demonstrates understanding of medications with regards to action and side effects. Communicates pertinent information to the appropriate individual. Educates patients and significant others about medications.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of nursing interventions in accomplishing goals and patient care outcomes.
  • Maintains the standards of nursing care and implements the policies and procedures of the hospital and assigned nursing unit.
  • Participates in meetings, in-services, and quality and performance improvement groups.
  • Understands attendance and punctuality guidelines and adheres to the dress code.
  • Reports pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to the appropriate person (physicians, head nurse, charge nurse, or nursing supervisor) and records observations accurately and concisely.
  • Provides quality care to patients and works with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the highest patient satisfaction.
  • May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents.
  • Required Qualifications

    • Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under the new state of residency within thirty (30) days.
    • One (1) year of RN experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
