Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Operations to lead a large value stream in our flagship manufacturing plant in North America. The role will lead a Manufacturing Production Line, with full accountability of running the day-to day Operation and to overachieve customer expectations through lean, faultless operational execution in an extended value chain.
Main AccountabilitiesOperations Strategy:
Develop and implement operational strategies that drive efficiency, productivity, and profitability, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Performance and Financial Management:
Optimize the allocation of resources (financial, human, material) to achieve and surpass operational and financial key performance indicators, including safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity targets, Cost of Goods Sold savings, and project profitability targets. Balance capacity with customer demand and manage annual Capital Expenditures and Operational Expenditures budgets effectively.
End-to-End Value Chain Management:
Oversee all aspects of the value chain, from receiving customer orders to delivering products, projects, and services to suppliers. This includes developing and implementing procurement and logistics strategies, managing project execution from order to completion, and establishing and managing a robust sales and operations planning process.
Continuous improvement:
Implement continuous improvement methodologies to increase productivity and reduce costs following the Integrated Transformer Management System (ITM) to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
Lead and champion a zero-accident culture, ensuring full compliance with all HSE regulations and fostering a safe and environmentally responsible work environment.
People Leadership and Development:
Lead, guide, and develop a diverse workforce, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth. Implement performance management and development practices to motivate and retain top talent.
- Bachelor's Degree. Preferably Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing engineering.
- Twelve (12) years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations management with a minimum of five (5) years senior level manager.
- Process Engineering or Quality Management experience a plus.
- Lean Manufacturing training and implementation experience.
- Six Sigma training and certifications.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts via presentations to senior level audiences.
- Change Management experience
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, drive engagement, and achieve high performance
- MBA or relevant master's degree.
- Working knowledge of SAP.
- Electrical products manufacturing experience.
