Senior Non-Commissioned Investigator
Base Salary $51,122 (The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the candidate selected is eligible for a years-of-service pay differential, it will be added to the total compensation. A pay differential does not raise the base pay.)
Job Location:
Division of Professional Registration, Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors and Professional Landscape Architects. Travel will generally be within assigned area with some occasional travel outside region.

- Conduct investigations of suspected violations and or incidents related to administrative law.
- Collect, assemble, and preserve facts, statements, affidavits for use in legal actions.
- Prepare and review detailed reports of investigative findings.
- Serve subpoenas.
- Testify in criminal, civil, and administrative proceedings.
- Two or more years of civil, administrative or criminal investigative experience, or experience as a law enforcement officer; and graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with specialization in criminal justice, law enforcement, criminology, business administration, social sciences or closely related area. (Qualifying experience will substitute for deficiencies in education.); or
- One or more years of experience as a Non-Commissioned Investigator.
- Knowledge of computer applications such as Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
Preferred Qualifications- Prior law enforcement experience with an emphasis in investigations.
- Ability to prepare clear, organized and detailed reports of investigative findings.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Ability to travel within the state with some overnight stays.
