Why You’ll Love This PositionThis is a Quality Assurance / Quality Control Technician position that is accountable for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of quality assurance and testing of the MACSS application across multiple environments.
Focuses on the execution of test scripts, conducting pre‑ and post‑implementation testing, and tracking defects.
Key Responsibilities- Gains an understanding of user requirements and reviews requirement specifications.
- Coordinates user acceptance in accordance with the specifications established.
- Conducts regression testing.
- Provides basic technical support in quality assurance, control, and testing techniques and protocols.
- May serve as a team lead, provide technical direction, and mentor less experienced staff.
- Execute a comprehensive test strategy for the MACSS project.
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of testing effort.
- Refine and document MACSS testing methodology/strategy.
- Provide test estimates and schedules.
- Coordinate requests and scheduling of the test environments.
- Coordinate creation of all testing deliverables, including test cases.
- Ensure resolution of testing issues.
- Identify, develop, and provide test‑related training needs.
- Provide feedback on testability of business requirements.
- Monitor and control test execution and defect resolution.
- Report and analyze test results, log defects during testing.
- Log defects in the Azure Dev Ops (ADO) system; track and retest defects.
- Provide testing status/reports.
- Perform research and analysis on strategic testing efforts.

The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting the Department of Social Services.
Candidate Should- Be skilled in gathering and interpreting business requirements and providing recommendations.
- Be knowledgeable and experienced in developing and implementing testing methodologies and strategies for both mainframe and web‑based applications.
- Be able to follow development support methodologies consistent with ITSD‑DSS standards.
- Be able to comprehend various levels of complexity regarding analysis, design, data management, and testing.
- Be able to quickly gain an overall understanding of the Missouri child support business processes and systems.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
- Be self‑motivated with significant analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Possess an Associate degree or higher and 0‑2 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
- Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate’s name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.
