Radiology Technologist

Responsibilities

• Perform general radiographic examinations (i.e., not special procedures) according to departmental protocols.
• Operates radiographic equipment and successfully performs radiographic procedures by selecting proper technical factors and proper positioning of each patient and exam.
• Demonstrates knowledge and ability to assist with checking patient into the Radiology Department for testing.
• Maintains a safe environment.
• Correctly uses facility communication systems.

• Strives for continuous quality improvement.
• Participates in educational experiences designed to maintain and/or improve professional competence.
• Maintains high work ethic standards.
• Provides quality customer service to staff, patients and visitors at all times.

Education: High school diploma or GED;
Graduate of the CAHEA-accredited radiography program.

Experience: None required for staff position.

Certification/License: ARRT certification in radiology;
Maintains credentials in good standing; BLS required.
