Radiology Technologist; PRN

• Perform general radiographic examinations (i.e., not special procedures) according to departmental protocols.
• Operate radiographic equipment and successfully perform radiographic procedures by selecting proper technical factors and proper positioning of each patient and exam.
• Demonstrate knowledge and ability to assist with checking patient into the Radiology Department for testing.
• Maintain a safe environment.
• Correctly use facility communication systems.

• Participates in educational experiences designed to maintain and/or improve professional competence.
• Maintains high work ethic standards.
• Provides quality customer service to staff, patients and visitors at all times.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED
• Graduate of the committee of Allied health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited radiography program

Experience:

• None required for staff position

Certification/License:

• ARRT certification in radiology
• Maintains credentials in good standing
• BLS required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology in order to perform radiography testing
• Knowledge of imaging equipment
• Good verbal skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to use computerized information systems
• Skill in establishing and maintaining good working relationships

Work is normally performed in an interior/office or workshop environment. Routine office noise, exposure to chemicals, hazardous material/waste, blood and body fluids.
