Practice Manager - Dermatology

Responsibilities- Ensure quality of care by developing and interpreting JCMG’s philosophies and standard of care; enforce adherence to state board of nursing and the state’s nurse practice act requirements; measure health outcomes against standards and recommend adjustments.
- Complete patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning medical office staff and following up on work results.
- Maintain nursing operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and JCMG policies and procedures.
- Write and update policies and procedures to sustain nursing guidelines.
- Coach, counsel, and discipline staff; plan, monitor, and appraise staff results in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Operations.
- Provide information to patients and the healthcare team by answering questions and/or requests.
- Resolve patient needs using multidisciplinary team strategies.
- Design and implement procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain a safe and clean working environment; call for assistance from staff or other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Develop and interpret infection‑control policies and protocols to protect patients and employees.
- Communicate information, respond to requests, build rapport, and participate in team problem‑solving methods to maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare teams.
- Ensure nursing staff remain in compliance with professional development and regulatory standards.
- Maintain a healthy, collaborative team environment.
- Screen and interview candidates.
- Address patient complaints in a compassionate and timely manner.
- Oversee daily practice operations including appointment scheduling, billing procedures, debt collections, cleaning, security, and occupational health and safety.
- Control the supply of medications and medical equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school with an active RN license in Missouri preferred (not required).
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare or business preferred.
- 5+ years nursing experience.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with a large team.
- 3 years supervisory experience.
- MO LPN or RN license in good standing; BCLS certification; LNHA license considered in lieu of formal education.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to problem‑solve and make sound decisions.
- Effective collaboration with physicians, administrative/management staff, and patients.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
